Hi, I’m Kayla!
I grew up in an Italian family that used food as a way to come together and socialize. Although I grew up dancing, strength training, and running cross country in school, I always struggled with my weight. It wasn’t until college that I finally decided it was time to make a change. After learning “smarter” ways of working out rather than “harder” and learning more about nutrition,
I lost 30 pounds and that is where my passion for health and fitness began.
After college, I moved to Los Angeles, California to pursue a career in Fitness. I began as a Personal Trainer at Equinox in West Hollywood, CA. While I was there, I was hired to train Mickey Rourke during preparation for his role in The Wrestler, as well as other celebrities. I gained numerous certifications, competed and won my first Bikini Competition and participated in a Triathlon. After a few years, I took my experience and moved back East to be closer to family.
I’ve worked with tons of expecting moms and when it came time for me to become pregnant I took a harder look at all the conflicting and confusing information out there about working out while pregnant.
I became a specialist, and quite frankly: a pre & postnatal Exercise Geek.
I dove in and did extensive research; I even interviewed doctors, nutritionists and moms to fully understand how working out effects the mom and growing baby. After trying all the programs out there, I’ve finally created a tried and true pre & postnatal training program that is safe, effective and enjoyable.
Not only will I keep you strong throughout pregnancy and prepare you for the marathon of motherhood, but I will help you recover quickly and safely!
Oh, and I also have a huge community of pre/postnatal recourses and other moms who can help support you every step of the way.
This past June I gave birth to my first son! So I can relate to EVERYTHING you’re going through!
Four and a half months postpartum from a C section (cute but stubborn boy wouldn’t flip), without any dieting, I am back to my pre-bably weight. Although very tired and sleep deprived, I’m feeling stronger than I could imagine!
When I’m not working out and bopping around Boston training moms and teaching classes, you can either find me enjoying a well earned Espresso Martini, dancing around my living room or planning the next weekend getaway with my family and friends!
